Vespera Energy
Vespera Energy is a renewable energy company with a primary focus in photovoltaic developments in Italy and Greece but operates across Europe. Vespera was founded in 2021 by Conor McGuigan former director for LightsourceBP Europe and Australia and Aldo Giretti, previously development manager for LightsourceBP Italy.
Vespera Energy’s mission is to accelerate the energy transition to a green future with an emissions-free energy generation mix as well as challenge existing processes and way of thinking within the industry. At the same time, Vespera work towards being a circular business where we try to give back as much as possible to the environment, the local community and think sustainability in all aspects of our business model.
By channelling capital towards sustainable outcomes that mitigate climate change, Vespera aims to limit global temperature increases.
Vespera Energy aims to develop 2 GWs of solar assets and ready to build projects in Italy by 2025, Vespera also intends to widen the business across the boarders in Europe. The aim is to develop 700 MW of co-developments and 1.3 GW of Greenfield projects. Alongside these targets we want to put focus on innovative solutions such as agricultural photovoltaic developments, green hydrogen and Battery Energy Storage System technologies.

Vespera Energy is backed by investment partner Pelion Green Future under the umbrella of the Arvantis group. Pelion invests and suppor like-minded entrepreneurs, companies and technologies which help tackling the climate crisis at its root cause and is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe. For Pelion, this starts with ‘cleaning up’ the energy economy by scaling up existing renewable energy sources while also investing in new technologies that help us generate, store, and use low-carbon electricity globally.

Conor McGuigan
Chief Executive Officer
Conor was one of the six founding members and the driving force for growth in LightSourceBP (British Petroleum solar development company and EU most successful and largest solar company - LSBP) for more than 10 years. As Director of Business Development, Conor managed a team focused on the expansion of LSBP across Europe and in 2017 he successfully led LSBP into the Australian market. Currently, he remains a major shareholder of LSBP having being part of the senior management team that undertook the MBO in 2016 with Octopus investments. During his career, Conor has developed over 6 GW pipeline across Europe
Aldo Giretti
Managing Director
International business developer with 15+ years’ experience in the solar industry, mainly matured in Italy, with and in-depth knowledge of the market and a global professional network with projects across Europe, Japan and Latam. Originated over 2 GW of utility scale solar projects pipeline across different countries and continents. Raised over half billion euro of project financing for energy efficiency projects in the public sector focused on smart cities and EV. Previously, Aldo was the Senior Business Developer at LightsourceBP in charge of origination and development of the Italian market, as part of the European team. In addition, his professional experience includes leading energy efficiency projects as Area Manager at OfficinaeVerdi, (JV of WWF and UniCredit Bank) and being the Senior Project Manager at Refeel Group. As an entrepreneur, he became one of the shareholders of Verdeca energy, a reputable development firm who’s partners have a broad knowledge and experience of the solar PV market. Aldo holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and a Master in Sustainable Energy and Renewable Energy.
