Partnership between Vespera Energy and Volt Infrastructure: new perspectives for Italian solar development
Vespera Energy and Volt Infrastructure have joined forces. Both companies are committed to the development of solar energy in Italy and have established a partnership that will lead to growth of photovoltaic projects with a capacity of over 100 MWp. The project pipeline covers the length and breadth of Italy, in regions from the north to the south starting with Abruzzo, Sicily and Molise.
The importance of this new partnership for Vespera
Vespera Energy founded in 2021 with the goal of helping Italy to make the green energy transition and operate all over Italy & across Europe. In addition to photovoltaic developments, Vespera Energy focuses on innovative solutions such as agricultural photovoltaic developments and BESS technologies and want to challenge existing processes and thinking within the industry. The company’s goal is to develop a total of 2 GW across Italy by 2025 with a strong focus on greenfield developments.
Why Volt Infrastructure
Developing and investing in high performing, grid scale, renewable energy projects since 2012, Volt Infrastructure has a key role in the development of this pipeline with its experience in the field. Volt Infrastructure was created to enable and realise the growing investment opportunities emerging in the European solar energy infrastructure market. Volt Infrastructure has pipelines in both UK and Italy.
Value and Perspectives for Italian Solar development
The development of this collaboration involves 100 MWp of photovoltaic installations, which is equivalent to avoiding the emission of around 88,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to 54,677.40 large family cars off the road throughout Italy and will be part of Vespera Energy’s and Volt Infrastructure’s mutual journey towards a clean energy transition and green future for Italy.
